A Troubled Nation

America is a troubled nation. There are a couple of simple Bible principles that explain why. A nation that trusts God is blessed. A nation that disregards God is troubled. A nation that is supportive of Israel is blessed. A nation that is anti-Israel is cursed. The two issues go hand in hand. A nation that trusts the Lord will bless His people.

Psalms 33:12: Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

The people of Israel are God*s chosen people. They have been throughout most of the Old Testament, they are today and God promises that they will always be. Many other nations have, through the ages, been able to say that God was their Lord. Sadly, other nations have only been able to say that God was their Lord temporarily. The fate of all nations is linked inseparably to their relationships with the Lord and with Israel.

Genesis 12:1-3: Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father*s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Psalms 122:6: Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

We love people who are good to our children. We don*t appreciate people who are unkind to our children. God loves people who are good to Israel and He does not appreciate those who oppose Israel.

For a long time America was consistently supportive of Israel. For about two decades America has been teetering between support for Israel and support for her enemies. Chronologically, the weakening support of Americans for Israel coincides closely with the accelerating moral demise of America.

If you are not in a right relationship with God and/or you are not pro-Israel, you are part of the problem with America.

Do you want to contribute to the well-being of America? Get into a right relationship with God, pray for America to get right with God, pray for the peace of Israel and do everything else you can to be supportive of them, including voting for like-minded politicians.
